Mark got back and the four of us left for the Glacier. I made the decision to not ski and just go along for the company and scenery.
Mark, Barbara and Simi arriving at the tram a little before noon. It was already too warm, but off we go anyway just to see what skiing the glacier is all about.
All the lift houses advertise watches. It still cracks me up that we sell timing to the Swiss!
One view from the top. I went into the lodge and read a book while they all skied.
We really liked watching the para gliders taking off down the very steep mountain. They are in the middle of this picture waiting to start down. They ski for a minute and just before the rocks, they lift off and soar down the cliffs. On the way home we saw 10-15 of them flying around the mountains. It looks like a blast and I kept thinking that my boys would love to do that. I prefer to stay on the ground.
We had a nice lunch and then as we were getting back on the trams, a small storm blew in. It was truly beautiful! Barbara made us a wonderful dinner and Johny came home from his timing trip in time to eat with us. They are the best hosts!
