We had to use the tenders to come ashore today. The water color was so beautiful, a translucent blue-green. Evidently Mykonos is the island of the rich and famous. Jackie O came here after she married her shipping magnet. I did not see anyone snorkeling in the beautiful bay which surprised me. We walked around the whitewashed cement buildings up the hill and over to Nikos Beach. A friend on the ship had talked about wanting to go to this beach to see the nudity. Most people don't look good in the nude though in my opinion. There were a few topless women and my theory holds. The beach had rocky sand again that hurt my feet and not many sunbathers. We didn't get in the water. We walked around the narrow streets reminiscent of Venice but quite a bit smaller in scope. We had some really good gelato (coconut), probably the best of the trip and went back to the ship to have lunch served in our room. The unfinished building is characteristic of all the buildings we saw throughout Greece. I am not in love with the local architecture as some are. I really have decided that the Greek Islands look better in pictures than in real life. On the other hand, Switzerland's vast beauty is very difficult to capture in a photo. There you have it!
