After all day and night at sea, we woke up in Sognefjord, Norway looking at the small village of Flam. It took my breath away. We rode a tender in and took the famous railway up the mountain. We then hiked down 6 miles, a most beautiful hike. There are so many waterfalls, I lost count. We boarded the train half-way down. Early in the evening, we left Flam and sailed out of the 128 mile long fjord. It is so incredible, seeing little villages and farm houses on cliff ledges. I am sure none of the pictures do the scenes justice.
The trail is the zig zag next to the falls. There is no way to show perspective, all the falls are very, very tall.
According to our captain, this beautiful 1929 ship, was owned by the king of England who abdicated the throne to his brother, Queen Elizabeth's father.
Our suite is right inside from the hot tub on the front of the boat. Everyday we sit in the hot tub and enjoy the incredible views. It is the best kept secret on the boat.
